Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Daytripper does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
What data does Daytripper use?
Daytripper uses the following data, all of which stays entirely on your device:
- Location — Your location is used to find day trips near you. It is never sent to any server.
- Interests & preferences — Your selected interests, drive time, and trip preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Saved trips — Trip itineraries you save are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, they sync through Apple's CloudKit (Apple's privacy policy applies).
What we DON'T do
- We do not collect analytics or usage data
- We do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs
- We do not sell, share, or transmit any personal information
- We do not require an account or login
- We do not have servers that receive your data
Third-party services
Daytripper uses Apple's native frameworks exclusively:
- MapKit — Map rendering and place search (Apple's privacy policy applies)
- WeatherKit — Weather forecasts (Apple's privacy policy applies)
- Foundation Models — On-device AI for itinerary generation (runs entirely on your device, no data leaves)
- CloudKit — Optional iCloud sync for saved trips (Apple's privacy policy applies)
No third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising frameworks are included in the app.
Children's privacy
Daytripper does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Since we don't collect email addresses, we can't notify you directly — but since we don't collect any data, changes would be minimal.
